Belhaven Residential Welcomes Two New Courtesy Officers

Belhaven Residential welcomes two new officers Deputy Derrick Lacey and Trooper Dontai Jackson as their new courtesy officers.

Deputy Derrick Lacey attended Alcorn State University and has been serving Mississippi in law enforcement for fourteen years. He currently serves in the Hinds County Sheriff Department. He enjoys hunting and is motivated by helping others. “Be visible, and patrol the area. You want to be more visible than anything.” Deputy Lacey stated. Our staff is so excited to have him on board, helping keep our community safe.

Officer Dontai Jackson said, “I like to ride around the apartment complex and get there as soon as I can,” when asked how he would respond to calls from numerous tenants. Trooper Dontai Jackson attended Madison Central High, and he has some college experience at Holmes for Pre Nursing. Jackson currently serves as a first-class trooper in the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and cooking. He is also an avid rider of motorcycles.
